Cori Anderson has a BA in art history from UNC Asheville. Originally from Treasure Island, Florida, she studied documentary film, photography and art history at Loyola University New Orleans and College of Charleston. Cori programs cultural events for the Cultural Events Series, the American Indian and Indigenous Studies Series, and Concerts on the Quad. She works with students, staff, faculty and community members to connect events to the liberal arts curriculum and collaboratively organize master classes, workshops and extended activities for the campus and greater Asheville communities. Her work focuses on the power of arts and cultural programming to build bridges, challenge assumptions, dispell fears and bring people together for conversations about social justice and civic responsibilty.
